Kismet Acupuncture & Apothecary

Kismet | fate; destiny

I read this word in a book when I was younger and promptly fell in love.

I always knew I would be the rebel, the weird one, the outspoken one, and the black sheep.

My mom would ask me what I would do with a degree in American Studies, visible tattoos and piercings, and hatred towards corporate America and cubicles.

My answer was always the same, “I’ll know it when it finds me.”

It found me in 2009. I had no idea what acupuncture was. My boss at the time treated me to a session with her acupuncturist. Thirty minutes later, I got off the table, and 20 minutes after that, I knew I had been smacked in the face by kismet.

After four years of grad school, a year of national exams, and three years of working for other people, Kismet Acupuncture was fully realized.
